Sept. 7 official wildfire check: evacuation-information pages and DriveBC fire rows still need live checks
Captured 2026-09-07T13:47:20.974505+00:00 from EmergencyInfoBC, DriveBC/Open511, BC Wildfire Service and the B.C. fire prohibitions page.
Emergency wording: If life or property is at immediate risk, call 911. To report a wildfire, call 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 on a cellphone.
Bottom line: this is a dated official-source check, not a new evacuation order, evacuation alert, travel clearance, detour instruction, return-home notice, fire-boundary update, smoke-health forecast, arson allegation or final fire-cause finding.
EmergencyInfoBC's public homepage still displayed wildfire evacuation-information pages in the captured Sept. 7 check. DriveBC/Open511 still listed 3 wildfire/fire/smoke road rows, including 2 marked MAJOR. The captured BC Wildfire Service latest-post feed did not show a newer post than the Sept. 4 area-restriction rescindments.
For readers, the practical point is simple: do not rely on yesterday's screenshot, a social post, or this article alone before travelling, returning, burning, camping or entering backcountry roads. Open the current local authority page, EmergencyInfoBC, DriveBC and BCWS before acting.

BCWS and fire-ban context
The captured BCWS latest-post feed still led with Sept. 4 area-restriction rescindments. Rescinded area restrictions do not automatically mean an evacuation was rescinded, a road is open, a backcountry route is safe, or a fire is out. The B.C. fire-prohibitions page still needs checking by fire centre and local authority.
