August 15 official wildfire check: Ainslie Creek restriction, evacuation links and road closures
BCFires captured current official wildfire/emergency sources early August 15, 2026. The practical takeaway: a new BC Wildfire Service area restriction is active near the Ainslie Creek wildfire, while EmergencyInfoBC and DriveBC still show multiple evacuation/action and wildfire road items that readers should verify at the live source before travelling or returning.
Short verdict
Official sources support a daily source card. In this capture, BCWS had a fresh August 14 Ainslie Creek area-restriction post, EmergencyInfoBC exposed 33 wildfire/evacuation/action links, and DriveBC/Open511 showed 17 wildfire/fire/smoke road events (13 marked major).
This article does not create a new evacuation order, alert, road detour, fire boundary, safe-return notice or cause determination. It is a dated official-source snapshot that points readers to the live agency pages.
BCWS: Ainslie Creek area restriction
BC Wildfire Service says an Area Restriction Order applies near the Ainslie Creek wildfire (V10755), east of the Fraser River near Boston Bar. BCWS says the order took effect at noon PDT on Friday, August 14, 2026 and is scheduled to remain in place until noon PDT on August 31, 2026 unless rescinded earlier.
The BCWS reason is public and responder safety and limiting interference with fire-suppression activity. The post also states the affected area spans portions of the Coastal Fire Centre and Kamloops Fire Centre, with exceptions for official capacity, suppression support, some residence/property access not under evacuation order, highway use, and agricultural/livestock work as described in the official order.
