Captured at: 2026-09-02T13:48:31+00:00

## Bottom line
BC Wildfire Service published three useful Sept. 1 official updates for a Sept. 2 reader check:

- Cariboo Fire Centre: Category 1 campfires will be permitted throughout the Cariboo Fire Centre and Tsilhqot’in (Xeni Gwet’in) Declared Title Area effective noon PDT Thursday, September 3, 2026.
- Kamloops Fire Centre: Category 1 campfires will be permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre effective noon PDT Thursday, September 3, 2026.
- Inonoaklin Creek: BCWS says the area restriction for the Inonoaklin Creek wildfire area is rescinded effective immediately, but people should watch for fire-damaged trees, ash pits and active-worksite hazards.

This package makes no arson, named-person, ignition-cause, evacuation-order, road-detour, return-home-clearance or final fire-boundary claim.
